In order to practice sports all year round, the number of sports fields provided with a heating system steadily increases. The unique IR heating technology from HSI enables an efficient heating of sports fields. The fields remain playable all year round and players’ injuries are reduced.
The reasons for the application of a field heating system are various:
- Guidelines from football associations
- A long winter period with strong frost and heavy snowfall
- Maximization of the availability of sports accommodations leading to more rental hours per year and less (paid) training cancellations, resulting in a higher profit
The total heating system consists of standard or customized IR heating ribbons, connection cables, sensors and a control unit. The field heating system is provided with an intelligent control which can be continuously consulted via the internet. The field heating system will keep the pitch – based on preset parameters – free of snow and frost. The unique operating technique enables a reduction of the energy consumption of at least 30% in comparison to the traditional field heating systems.
