Airports are always hard hit during wintry conditions. Flight delays and cancellations are very costly. A continuously accessible helipad can make the difference in life.

HSI’s IR heating technology makes wintry conditions controllable and keeps runways and helipads available.

The power required for the heating system can be easily generated locally and in a sustainable way, e.g. by installing PV-cells on roofs. By using grid storage for the electricity generated during summer – and using this for system heating during winter – a CO₂ neutral solution can be offered.
